Eberhard Renner was born in Tubingen, Germany, and grew up in Basel, Switzerland. He started drawing and painting at a young age and took drawing and art history classes during his Highschool years at the Humanistische Gymnasium, Basel, Switzerland.
The arts took second place when Eberhard enrolled in Medical School at the University of Basel, Switzerland, and built a career as academic physician, initially in Switzerland, since 2004 in Winnipeg, MB, and Toronto, ON, Canada.
In 2011, Eberhard’s spouse motivated him to resume painting by giving him as birthday present acrylic paint, brushes and a canvas.
